Chilkur Balaji Temple, popularly known as the “Visa Balaji Temple,” is one of the most revered Hindu temples in Chilkur Village, Moinabad Mandal, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana. Dedicated to Lord Venkateswara (Balaji), the temple is believed to be over 500 years old and is situated amidst the serene surroundings of Osman Sagar (Gandipet Lake). It is renowned for its peaceful atmosphere and attracts thousands of devotees every week.

The temple is famous for the belief that sincere prayers help devotees fulfill their aspirations, particularly those related to education, careers, and overseas travel, earning it the name “Visa Balaji Temple.” Devotees traditionally perform 11 pradakshinas (circumambulations) while making a wish and return to complete 108 pradakshinas after their wish is fulfilled. Unlike many other temples, Chilkur Balaji Temple does not have a hundi (donation box) and does not offer special VIP darshan, emphasizing equality and devotion for all visitors.
